Review: ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Was Too Fun for Words

Thanks to the lovely people at Skype Moments, we were able to see Marvel’s latest film, Guardians of the Galaxy and full two days early. And we’ve been thinking long and hard these last 48 hours exactly how to put into words exactly how we felt about this movie. It was exciting, it was hilarious, it was epic. But honestly, its hard to put into words just how much we liked this movie….

Do yourself a favor and hit play.

First off, the movie had a rockin’ soundtrack courtesy of Awesome Mix Vol. 1.

Chris Pratt Andy Emmet Brickowoski Bright Abbott killed it as Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord. He was an expert in smart-assery and antics. We can relate.

Uhura Zoe Saldana’s Gamora was bad ass and complex. She did a lot of hair flipping.

Rocket Raccoon Ranger Rick, voiced by Bradley Cooper, was not just some gimmick. He was intelligent and resourceful with just the right amount of snark.

The Vin Diesel voiced Groot Tree Beard was surprisingly funny, heart warming and honestly had some of the best moments in the whole film.

As Emily pointed out about a million times, Rocket and Groot are best friends.

Former WWE wrestler Dave Batista’s Drax the Destroyer was not a thesaurus or a princess.

Together they form the Guardians of the Galaxy! Otherwise known as a bunch of a-holes.

Also in the film, a liberated Amy Pond Karen Gillan was deadly and stoic as Nebula. She broke a lot of bones in this movie, you guys.

Lee Pace Legolas’ dad was literally unrecognizable, but just as talented as ever, as Ronan the Accuser.

Glenn Close’s hair Glenn Close was authoritative as head of the Nova Corp, Nova Prime.

That’s no moon…

Benicio del Toro was back as the Collector and he had  A LOT of feels.

SERIOUSLY. JUST GO SEE THIS MOVIE.
