Stephen Hawking is undoubtedly one of the greatest scientific minds ever. His contributions to physics and cosmology changed the way we look at time and our universe. Of course, Hawking’s mental brilliance has always been juxtaposed by his physical condition. His ALS has never stopped him, however, and Hawking has proven to be an amazing example of the resilience of human beings.
This resilience takes center stage in the upcoming Hawking biopic, The Theory of Everything. The film, based off of the memoir Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen by Jane Hawking, stars Les Miserable‘s Eddie Redmayne as Hawking and The Amazing Spider-Man 2‘s Felicity Jones as Hawking’s first wife Jane. Warning: This trailer will give you all the feels.
Redmayne looks quite convincing as Hawking and the film looks to be a heartwarming and inspiring story of love, science, and never giving up. I, for one, cannot wait to see it.
The Theory of Everything is set to hit theaters November 7, 2014.
