We saw a midnight showing of Star Trek Into Darkness on Wednesday/Thursday and IT WAS AWESOME. We honestly do not have too many bad things to say about it, except for the goddamn lens flares all over the damn place.
But instead of writing a lengthy review about it, we decided to express some of your feelings and favorite parts via Star Trek gifs (NO MAJOR SPOILERS, I PROMISE!).
Enjoy.
First off, the whole movie was one big action packed emotional roller coaster. One minute we’re cheering and the next, Emily is crying. Seriously, she cried a lot.
We really only knew Benedict Cumberbatch from seeing pictures of him in Sherlock and comparing him to an otter, so we had a sort of skewed image of him. And then all of a sudden he’s kicking a whole bunch of ass all over the place and looking really intense and scary.
Sulu also got to be intense and a badass. Even though he doesn’t look like it here, trust me, he did it.
There was a fair bit of running and chasing and jumping off things.
KIRK AND SPOCK ARE SO BEST FRIENDS.
Despite some problems, Uhura and Spock continue to be the cutest couple in the universe.
Even Chekov was like, “NOOOOOO! NOT A RED SHIRT!”
Scotty and his alien pal clean up nicely and drink a lot.
And after it was over, we all walked out of the theater like Kirk.
