gift guide

Happy Holidays everyone! We know that gift giving can be difficult, especially if you’re not familiar with a particular fandom or you’re like Emily’s mom and you can’t tell the difference between a TARDIS and a TaunTaun (sorry mom!). So we’ve compiled an simple gift guide to help give you some ideas or maybe even find the perfect gift for every geek on your list!

The second installment of the 2013 Wrong Button Gift Guide is for the Geek Fashionista!

Even if they’re not puckering up for the Doctor (dream big, girl!), this tank is still a great gift for all of the River Song/ 11th Doctor shippers. The words are so simple, and yet have so much meaning! This tank is made from an American Apparel Tri-blend material and comes in XS to L. It’s comfy and perfect for wearing under blazers or winter cardigans.

One of Emily’s bucket list items is to own something from Black Milk Clothing, and these Mass Effect N7 Leggings are at the top of the list. These wet look leggings are sexy, comfortable and go well with boots, t-shirts and the rest of FemShep’s armor. The N7 leggings are extremely popular—they’re out of stock in a few sizes already—so snag them quick or gift your beau or yourself an IOU until the right size becomes available again.

We have yet to watch the BBC’s Sherlock (blasphemy, we know), but we know tons of people who are obsessed with it. Show your fandom love and keep all of your own detective tools with this “I’m Sherlocked” messenger bag. It can carry up to a 15″ laptop, so it’s just right for work or school. It ships from Asia, so order soon!

Show your lady love or best friend what a catch they are with these gorgeous little Snitch earrings. They are made from Swarovski pearls, antiqued wings and magic. They’re pretty and dainty and are subtle enough to wear everyday. Emily might just buy some for herself.

Probably every little girl in the 90s had at least 1 My Little Pony—Emily had four horses, a backpack and a computer game—and the fandom has made a huge resurgance in recent years. Get the MLP fan on your list these comfortable and cute Rainbow Dash Slip-Ons. They’re bright and stylish and could be wore just about everywhere. But sorry, Bronies, they only come in women’s sizes.

There’s no denying that Wonder Woman is one of the DC Universes most powerful super heroes. But aside from her physical power, she’s a smart, dedicated and confident woman, and she rocks the hell out of a headband. She might not have time to gloss before saving the world, but you do! These exclusive M.A.C. Wonder Woman Lip Glosses are really hard to find these days, so they are a must have for any makeup maven and Wonder Woman fan!

Add a little POW! to your hairstyle with a comic book hair bow. It’s small and easy to add to a variety of styles and perfect for adding a subtle hint of fandom to everyday outfits. They also make a great gift for the nest generation of geek fashionistas!

Most people aren’t willing to have cosmetic surgery to make their ears look pointy, nor is it practical to glue on your elf ears before a night out. Get the Elf Princess on your list these elf ear clip-ons. They go over your ears (so you don’t even have to have them pierced) and they come in Future Elf, Forest Elf, or High Elf. They really are gorgeous and would be a great accessory for a geek wedding or conventions. Could also work for all the Vulcans out there.

If you, your best friend, or your lady doesn’t have any Her Universe pieces yet, the holidays the time to rectify that. We could have posted almost everything on that site to this list, but we narrowed it down to this lovely Dalek dress. The A-Line design is flattering for everyone, and the gold color is so pretty. This is a perfect dress for New Year’s Eve (especially a Doctor Who-themed party!)!

Look for our next gift guide tomorrow: survivor-in-training!
